Provides outpatient mental health therapy, conducts assessments, and develops treatment plans for individuals and groups in a tribal health setting.
Job Summary:
The Outpatient Therapist will provide high-quality therapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups at Echota Behavioral Health. This role is responsible for assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions in alignment with best practices and applicable regulations.
This position will report to the Clinical Director.
Job Duties:
Therapeutic Services:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' mental health needs and formulate diagnostic impressions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and other care providers.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy utilizing evidence-based approaches.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Ensure all therapeutic interventions align with ethical and professional standards.
Case Management:
- Coordinate care with other professionals, including psychiatrists, medical providers, and community resources.
- Assist clients in accessing additional support services, such as housing, education, or employment resources.
- Advocate for clients’ needs and rights within the community and other systems of care.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in compliance with organizational policies, CARF accreditation standards, and applicable regulations.
- Document all sessions, treatment plans, progress notes, and communications in the electronic health record system.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality laws and organizational policies regarding protected health information (PHI).
Professional Development:
- Participate in regular supervision, staff meetings, and case consultations.
- Stay current on best practices, evidence-based therapies, and regulatory requirements by attending trainings, workshops, and conferences.
- Maintain licensure and certifications as required by state and tribal regulations.
Organizational Contributions:
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
- Support outreach and educational efforts to promote mental health awareness within the community.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and organizational projects as needed.
