The Outreach & Marketing Specialist at OSG is critical to our organization because it strengthens referral relationships, improves access to care, increases awareness of Oregon Specialty Group providers and services, and helps ensure patients are connected to the right services in a timely and efficient manner. This field-based role builds and maintains relationships with referring providers and community partners, supports provider and service-line marketing, and serves as a liaison between external partners and internal teams. The Outreach & Marketing Specialist identifies opportunities to improve the referral experience, gathers and communicates market feedback, and supports initiatives that strengthen provider awareness, referral relationships, and organizational growth.
The role is structured with an approximate 60% focus on provider outreach and referral development and 40% focus on provider and service-line marketing, with the balance evolving over time based on organizational needs.
Essential Job Functions
Provider Outreach & Referral Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with providers, clinics, hospitals, and other referral sources to strengthen referral partnerships and promote Oregon Specialty Group services.
- Conduct regular in-person outreach visits, presentations, educational meetings, lunch-and-learns, and networking activities.
- Identify referral barriers, service gaps, and opportunities, partnering with internal teams to improve referral processes and access to care.
- Track outreach activity, referral trends, provider feedback, and key metrics using CRM or other reporting tools; share insights and opportunities with leadership.
- Represent Oregon Specialty Group at provider offices, healthcare organizations, educational events, conferences, and other community outreach activities.
Provider & Service-Line Marketing
- Partner with operations, clinical teams, and other internal partners to support provider and service-line marketing priorities.
- Develop and coordinate provider-facing materials and content, including referral collateral, service-line materials, outreach presentations, educational resources, provider bios, and external provider announcements.
- Support provider-facing website content, photography/videography coordination, and other marketing activities that increase awareness of Oregon Specialty Group providers and services.
- Gather market insights and provider, patient, and community stories to inform outreach, marketing, and service-line promotion.
General
- Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance is necessary to perform the responsibilities of this position, maintain appropriate coverage and continuity of work and patient care, and support timely and effective operations. Employees are expected to report to work as scheduled, be punctual, remain available during assigned work hours, and follow established procedures for reporting absences or schedule changes.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management, for which appropriate training will be provided, to support departmental objectives and organizational success.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Two or more years of experience in healthcare, business development, provider relations, clinical outreach, or a related field.
- Experience in provider outreach, referral development, healthcare business development, or medical sales.
- Experience developing marketing content, outreach materials and presentations.
- Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel regularly throughout the service area and work independently in the field.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and other tracking/reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with physicians, clinics, hospitals, discharge planners, case managers, or other referral sources.
- Familiarity with referral workflows, scheduling processes, and healthcare service lines. Knowledge of the local healthcare market and regional referral networks.
- Experience supporting healthcare marketing, provider marketing, or service-line growth initiatives.
- Experience educating providers, staff, or community partners through presentations or in-services.
- Experience with website content management systems or basic marketing content development.
- Bilingual communication skills.
