Coordinates youth outreach for a NYC police-led community program, recruiting and engaging teens in after-school and summer activities.
The Police Athletic League (PAL) is the largest independent youth organization in New York City that provides educational and recreational activities for children and young adults. PAL Inc. and The New York City Police Department work in partnership to provide communities with summer and after-school recreational and educational activities.
We are looking for a part-time Outreach Coordinator who will be responsible for leading efforts in recruiting and engaging youth in Beacon programs and activities, as well as providing them with a range of services according to their needs, strengths, interests, and challenges. Under the direction of the Beacon Director, the Outreach Coordinator will oversee the recruitment and retention of hard-to-reach youth and young adults by engaging in outreach partnerships with other CBO's, attend community events, meetings, while connecting youth with wraparound support services, and providing them with mentorship programs to keep them engaged in the Beacon and in school.
