Outsourcing Consultant – Qualified Accountant | (Hybrid)

An established and expanding advisory firm is seeking a Qualified Accountant (or experienced Part-Qualified Accountant) to join its Outsourcing team based in Portlaoise, operating on a hybrid working model.

This position sits within a growing client services division supporting a diverse portfolio of SMEs, international businesses and public sector bodies. It offers broad exposure across financial reporting, management accounting and client advisory support within a collaborative and commercially focused environment.

The Role

You will manage a portfolio of outsourced accounting clients, acting as a key point of contact while delivering high-quality financial reporting and compliance services. The role offers strong variety and the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership on client engagements.

Flexibility around working arrangements will be considered.

Core Duties

• Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements in line with relevant reporting standards

• Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts with supporting analysis

• Liaising directly with clients to resolve accounting and finance-related queries

• Supporting tax compliance processes in conjunction with internal tax specialists

• Managing deadlines across a varied portfolio of client assignments

• Assisting with budgeting, billing and overall commercial performance of engagements

• Supporting onboarding of new clients and improving internal processes where appropriate

Candidate Requirements

• ACA / ACCA qualified or close to completion, with approximately 3+ years’ experience

• Strong background within an accountancy practice environment (essential)

• Solid technical knowledge across financial reporting and management accounts preparation

• Comfortable managing multiple assignments simultaneously

• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail

• Confident communicator with client-facing experience

• Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of work to review stage

• Full clean driver’s licence desirable due to occasional client site visits
