Overview:

The Juilliard School’s Video Shop is seeking individuals to work on various shows/projects throughout the year.

Due to the high number of applications we receive, we may not be able to respond to all applicants. Please note that this is a part-time, as needed position. If hired, the shop supervisor will add your name to a list and will reach out when there is work available.

Responsibilities:
  • Safely participate in various calls including prep, hang, focus, notes, and strike.
  • Will work with the Electrics Shop Supervisor determining appropriate projection and computer playback needs
    • Will work with Projection Designers as necessary on an event or production.
  • Venue and equipment maintenance
  • Possible programming that may involve Q-Lab and/or PowerPoint
  • Any other duties deemed necessary for the efficient and professional execution of Juilliard programming.
Qualifications and Skills:
Required:
  • Previous experience as a video technician in a professional venue
  • Proficient knowledge of video playback systems, projectors and lenses.
  • Computer literacy including programs such as Q-Lab, PowerPoint, iMovie, and Photoshop.
  • Ability to follow instruction and work independently.
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Comfortable working on ladders and personnel lifts

This position is part of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crafts of the United States, its Territories and Canada, AFL-CIO, CLC.

Salary Range:

Base positions start at $34.00 per hour.
