Position Summary

Wally’s Maintenance Team Members play a critical role in delivering a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for every guest. This position is responsible for janitorial and facility cleaning duties, including maintaining the store interior, restrooms, parking lot, fuel pumps, canopy, and surrounding areas.

This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, can operate independently, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Maintenance Team Members support all departments as needed to ensure smooth operations and uphold Wally’s high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Facility Cleaning & Janitorial Duties

• Perform routine janitorial cleaning of restrooms, floors, offices, equipment, walls, and entryways
• Maintain exterior areas including sidewalks, parking lot, fuel pumps, and trash areas
• Remove trash using carts, hand tools, and power equipment
• Assist with snow and ice removal when needed

Guest Experience

• Provide a friendly, professional presence while performing duties
• Maintain a clean, safe environment that enhances the guest experience
• Follow Wally’s appearance and grooming standards

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Use proper PPE and safe work practices at all times
• Report hazards, maintenance issues, or equipment concerns promptly

Operational Support

• Assist with stocking and rotating merchandise as needed
• Change out soda and slush BIBs following procedures
• Support deliveries and other departments during busy periods
• Maintain organized maintenance and supply areas

Teamwork & Communication

• Work collaboratively with team members, leads, and managers
• Follow daily task lists and communicate progress
• Accept coaching and feedback to improve performance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous janitorial, maintenance, or facilities experience preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and complete task lists independently
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to operate equipment such as floor scrubbers, power washers, snow removal equipment, and utility vehicles (e.g., Kubota)
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequent use of hands, reaching, bending, and lifting
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Schedule Requirements

• Flexible availability required
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
