P/T Technical Designer for Women's Clothing - Woven Dresses, Blouses, Sleepwear

Printfresh is a vibrant collection of sleepwear and lifestyle items that are inspired by plants, animals, and home décor.

We are seeking a part-time Technical Designer who will handle all technical design aspects in our Philadelphia studio. They will review new designs and create detailed tech packs using Google Docs/Sheets, as well as participate in in-person fittings, take notes, and advise fit revisions to the production agency/factory.

This is a temporary freelance position, and hours will fluctuate depending on the season and needs. Currently, we are expecting that this position will work from 4-8 hours per week. Fittings are typically done on Wednesdays. Some work can be performed remotely- such as tech pack creation and processing fitting notes- but all fittings will take place in person.

Requirements

• Some level of coursework in fashion
• 3-7+ years of technical design industry experience in women’s market for comparable brands
• Strong understanding of technical aspects of construction, fit, and standard specs
• Experience in plus-size fashion market ideal - or comparable market experience
• Experience working with factories in India and skilled at working with natural fibers
• Strong computer and GSuite skills (Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Must have excellent taste level
• Must be able to present examples of tech packs with application
