Summary

Maintains and optimizes packaging and process control systems at a brewery, troubleshooting PLCs and instrumentation while ensuring safety and production efficiency.

The key purpose of this role is to perform optimization/ modification and maintenance of process control systems.


Key outputs and responsibilities:

  • Contribute to continuously improve the plant, processes and systems

  • Provide technical support and enhance machine, system and process capabilities

  • Make technical recommendations of changes required by production team

  • Execute small process improvement projects

  • Assist in the implementation of plant and process improvement projects

  • Maintain, repair and optimize plant and associated devices

  • Assist with and manage Routine Plant Maintenance

  • Interact daily with the production team to resolve process related problems

  • Work in teams, support WCM initiatives

  • Mentor production staff on manufacturing system issues

  • Standby duties, and able to work shifts as required

  • Ensure a safe healthy and risk-free working environment

Minimum Requirements:

  • N6 and a Trade Test Qualification

  • Minimum of 3 years instrumentation equipment maintenance and PLC experience as well as a good fault-finding capability

  • Experience with Siemens S7 PLC/TIA portal and ASI bus system. Fieldbus Networks (EtherNet/IP and Wonderware Historian will be an advantage

  • Knowledge of OHS act, NOSA
