Maintains and optimizes packaging and process control systems at a brewery, troubleshooting PLCs and instrumentation while ensuring safety and production efficiency.

The key purpose of this role is to perform optimization/ modification and maintenance of process control systems.
Key outputs and responsibilities:
Contribute to continuously improve the plant, processes and systems
Provide technical support and enhance machine, system and process capabilities
Make technical recommendations of changes required by production team
Execute small process improvement projects
Assist in the implementation of plant and process improvement projects
Maintain, repair and optimize plant and associated devices
Assist with and manage Routine Plant Maintenance
Interact daily with the production team to resolve process related problems
Work in teams, support WCM initiatives
Mentor production staff on manufacturing system issues
Standby duties, and able to work shifts as required
Ensure a safe healthy and risk-free working environment

Minimum Requirements:
N6 and a Trade Test Qualification
Minimum of 3 years instrumentation equipment maintenance and PLC experience as well as a good fault-finding capability
Experience with Siemens S7 PLC/TIA portal and ASI bus system. Fieldbus Networks (EtherNet/IP and Wonderware Historian will be an advantage
Knowledge of OHS act, NOSA
