Packaging Support - Palletizer (2nd shift)

Responsible for monitoring the palletizer and boxmaker areas to ensure the area is running smooth, and providing excellent service to the packaging team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- You closely monitor the palletizers and box makers, and stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams and report malfunctions to your coach.

- You replenish the box supplies necessary to keep the line running in a timely manner to prevent downtime.

- You maintain quality records accurately, consistently conduct quality inspections and notify your coach if something doesn’t look quite right.

- You do your part to keep the palletizer area clean and neat, and document cleaning tasks on the Master Cleaning Schedule.

- You make adjustments to the equipment during production to optimize efficiency, especially when switching to different items throughout the day.

TOOLKIT/SKILLS REQUIRED:

- You are very detailed and can catch even the slightest errors or nonconformities.

- You are fast and efficient while maintaining neatness, thoroughness, accuracy and focus on the task at hand.

- You have excellent customer service skills so that you can look for ways to help those around you, including the packaging team.

- You are able to efficiently grab, lift and safely move product and equipment, including forklifts. You’re not afraid to “get your hands dirty."
