Packer (Forklift Operator)

About the Position: Oversees the operation of the packing function of the warehouse.

Performs warehousing receiving, storing, issuing, shipping, location survey, inventory and re-warehousing of general supplies and equipment to include hazardous and radioactive materials/wastes.

Operates forklifts capable of lifting loads over 10,000 pounds.

Identifies and checks quantities of items against shipping/receiving documents; ensures items are identified by stock or catalog number for warehousing.

Performs blocking, bracing and tying down of items placed in/on trailer vans/flats.
