Paid Social Media Director has 7+ years’ experience and is responsible for planning and overseeing the execution of the Paid Social Media paid campaigns across all relevant platforms for Pharma DTC and HCP accounts. They will be client facing and represent the Social team in internal and external meetings.
The Director will be hands-on in the development and advancement of platform campaigns, budget allocations, and spearhead reporting insights. They will also support the overall team by training the social media specialist to foster ongoing education and growth. This person will work closely with the creative teams to ensure all assets meet platform best practices and specifications. They will also work alongside all other media teams to guarantee the social plan is in lock step with the overall brand strategy.
Essential Functions
- Client/Project Management: Help lead the client relationship and manage the day-to-day oversight of deliverables. Partners closely with leaders across agency and AOR partners.
- Strategic Planning: Oversee key brand and tactical planning deliverables and presentations.
- Presentations: Represent paid social on client and internal calls, delivering reports and providing recommendations.
Job Duties/ Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, coordinate, and oversee implementation of social media initiatives appropriate to achieve the intended objectives.
- Knowledge of and prior experience executing in-platform campaigns across Facebook, X, and LinkedIn
- Strategize and create paid social media plans in accordance with budgeting, including ongoing project management.
- Stay abreast of platform targeting and tactical offerings while ensuring highest standards for pharmaceutical advertising.
- Work with marketing sciences to set benchmarks for industry comparison and build actionable KPIs.
- Partner with marketing sciences to create, manage, report and optimize social media campaigns and determine best tracking methods for campaign reporting.
- Prioritize and coordinate outbound social engagement opportunities, using through insights and analysis to develop tactics to amplify and grow client brand recognition and trust.
- Collaborate with the engagement team on content performance and audience insights to assist writers, editors and designers with creating content appropriate for social channels, audiences and sales funnels.
- Analyze and track organic and paid social media efforts, set benchmarks, and draw actionable insights to enhance efforts and validate the effectiveness of social media.
Area of Expertise
- Paid Social Media marketing is required
- Healthcare and pharmaceutical experience is preferred
- Meta Blueprint is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Complete knowledge of paid social platforms (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok), social media best practices, and experience developing cross-channel targeting strategies.
- Experience managing a team effectively to achieve results from all levels.
- Experience in mentoring and team building.
- Experience managing multiple large enterprise-level accounts.
- Direct experience in working with audience personas to plan strategy to connect with diverse audiences.
- Experience in developing social media KPIs, creating pixels and tracking URLs for Google Analytics and work across teams to coordinate as part of campaign development.
- Experience in mentoring and team building.
- Ability to judge and quantify results of media efforts placed on behalf of our clients (i.e., understand/describe impact of results, compare actual results to needs of client) and the ability to translate this data into a story.
- Working knowledge of online performance tracking and measurement tools.
- Experience managing teams and guiding junior team members to achieve goals.
- Successfully collaborate with multiple personalities and communicate with all levels of the organization.

- Strong Presentation Skills: Ability to present to various audiences and demonstrate the value of paid social to senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization.
$130,000 - $170,000
Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom’s corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
