Lewis Collision Center is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Paint Prepper to join our collision repair team. What You'll Do
As a Paint Prepper, you will prepare vehicles and parts for the painting process while helping our body and paint technicians maintain an efficient workflow.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare vehicles and parts for paint and refinishing.
- Sand, scuff, feather-edge, and prepare repaired surfaces.
- Perform masking and taping of vehicles and components.
- Clean and degrease surfaces before refinishing.
- Apply primers, sealers, and other approved materials as directed.
- Assist painters with mixing and preparing materials when needed.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Properly care for and maintain tools and equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer recommendations.
- Inspect work to ensure surfaces are properly prepared before entering the paint booth.
- Work efficiently while maintaining Lewis Collision Center's quality standards.
- Assist other members of the collision repair team as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Previous automotive collision or paint preparation experience preferred.
- Automotive body or paint experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a production environment.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and develop your skills.
- Ability to safely use sanding tools, masking equipment, and other shop equipment.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
