Job Title: Painter

SUMMARY:

Preparing surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and filling holes, mixing paint to achieve the correct color and consistency, and applying paint, stain, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers. Work under the supervision of the Field Superintendent.

Tasks and Capabilities Required:

• Clean, scrape, sand, and fill holes and cracks in surfaces. Remove old paint and apply primers or sealers as needed to ensure paint adhesion.
• Calculate the amount of paint and materials needed. Mix and match paint colors to specifications.
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using hand brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
• Install scaffolding and ladders, and maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning up debris after completion.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals like carpenters, electricians, and plumbers to complete projects efficiently.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure the work area is safe for all personnel.
• Must be able to clear all requirements to enter US-Base.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Attention to detail for a smooth, even finish.
• Ability to work with various tools, such as brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting heavy objects, working at heights, and maintaining a comfortable position for long periods.
• Understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
