Painter's Helper

SUMMARY:

To assist in the preparation of products for the application of industrial coatings and to mix and apply industrial coatings to metal products with supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assists Painters, Sandblasters and any needs of the department to meet set production schedules
• Responsible for meeting set production times
• Mix a variety of standard coating materials to proper consistency.
• Ensure that surface is properly prepared before applying standardized coatings to obtain desired finish.
• Practice good safety habits and maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Report malfunctions of equipment or processing to supervisor.
