The
Position…
In this
position, you will be responsible for management of multiple domestic and
commercial projects, ensuring that the completed work meets the highest quality
standards. You will need to be an effective communicator that can lead a
motivated team, provide excellent customer service and be a professional
representative of the company’s established workplace ethics. The position is
responsible for liaising with and in certain cases assisting various trades and
specialist contractors. You will be reading job briefs and interpreting plans
as well as conducting onsite check measures, and ordering appropriate
materials. In addition, you will be liaising with customers, engineers,
building managers, and other key stakeholders involved in each individual project
and providing project-specific updates and reporting to key internal
stakeholders.
Your main
responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing and being accountable for project cost management,
timeframes, and overall quality of workmanship
- Assisting and directing a paint trade base on varying-sized
projects
- Establishing and building excellent relationships between trades
and customers, trade contractors, and suppliers
- Working with your team to plan, deliver and drive projects to
achieve desired margin outcomes, high quality, and meeting set deadlines.
- Assisting with delivering project plans to achieve the best outcome
for commercial clients and domestic customers
- Coordinate and provide project-specific updates and reports to key
stakeholders regarding variations and rectification management.
The
Ideal Candidate…
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in the building sector
(painting & decoration experience preferred)
- Experience overseeing and/or supervising a team of tradespeople.
- Trade Qualifications preferred and/or a proven experience within
the painting industry.
- Must hold a current driver’s licence & a white/blue card.
- Excellent time management, reporting, and communication skills.
- An understanding of WHS requirements on small and large work sites.
