Description

Who is Bare

Bare is Australia's most highly rated end of life business - supporting Australian families through the hardest time in their life.

We are a company dedicated to providing accessible, affordable end-of-life care to change the way that Australians deal with death. Our aim is to change the game in the funeral industry which has long provided expensive, traditional, cookie cutter services that don’t always meet the needs of the modern Australian.

By combining empathy with technology, we’re creating end-of-life experiences that are simple, personalised and affordable. In only seven years, we’ve served more than 50,000 families, have become Australia’s most awarded end-of-life provider (with awards in customer service, innovation and digital disruption), and have built a team of more than 200 people committed to changing the way Australians deal with end-of-life. And we’re just getting started.

As part of this mission, we are growing our legal business - Bare Law - which has quickly become one of Australia's largest Estate Administration law firms. We're looking for an exceptional Paralegal to join the team!

The Opportunity

Our practice is client-centric, fuss-free, and timely. We provide exceptional advice in an easy-to-understand legal fashion to families working through the Probate and Letters of Administration process. Our commitment to reliability and timeliness ensures a smooth experience for our clients.

Bare Law offers genuine flexible working arrangements and mentoring opportunities alongside our Senior Lawyers and Management.

If you have exceptional time management and previous understanding/experience in Estate Administration, we want to hear from you!

The Paralegal responsibilities will include:

  • Managing legal documents at the office including preparation of Court applications, affidavits, letters and general correspondence.

  • Managing all incoming and outgoing mail to the office and taking appropriate actions to progress file work and applications.

  • Proper record keeping to ensure that file operators receive relevant information and updates in real time.

  • Attending the relevant court to complete filings as necessary.

  • Liaising with stakeholders, including clients, Lawyers, Barristers, and Principals.

From time to time, you may:

  • Set appointments for lawyers.

  • Answer and make phone calls.

  • Drafting and amending letters and court documents.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous relevant paralegal or legal experience

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Motivation and commitment to learn

  • A true desire and willingness to go the extra mile for our clients

Most importantly, we want someone who believes in our mission. Everyone at Bare is driven by the impact of what we’re doing, and we want to make sure that continues with every new hire that joins our team.

Someone in our end-of-life team recently described their role this way: "This is the most impactful work I've ever done. I feel lucky to be able to help people that truly need support." So, there's that. We've also been named one of the 2026 Top 10 Inspiring Workplaces across Australasia — proof that our people-first culture is more than just talk. #PeopleFirst

In addition, we offer:

  • Great opportunities for personal growth, promotion, and career development

  • The ability to work with lots of autonomy and flexibility

  • A friendly, fun, and supportive environment — people genuinely love what they do at Bare

  • Competitive remuneration package

  • The chance to make an impact at one of the most critical moments in someone's life

The main reason you'll join, though, is because you believe in what we do and are excited to truly transform an industry.
