Paralegal - Family Law

Newstaff Employment Services is recruiting for an experienced Paralegal to join a progressive company based in Luton.

The ideal candidate will have worked as a Paralegal within the Public Family practice area, though other practice arears will also be considered.

The Role:

• Providing support to solicitors on a broad range of public family law matters
• Drafting and preparing legal documents
• Attending client meetings
• Managing files and all dealing with all relevant general administration
• Assisting with legal aid applications
• Liaising with external agencies such as courts, local councils and so on
• Attending court hearings where required
• All other ad-hoc administrative support as needed

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Paralegal, ideally within Public Family is preferred though other paralegal practice areas will be considered
• Must have a Law degree (LLB or equivalent) or completion of Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL)
• Strong MS Office skills and case management systems experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Good organisational skills and ability to work well to deadlines
• A friendly team player

Benefits

Salary: Up to £28,500 pa + excellent benefits package

This is an office based role Monday to Friday 9 am to 5.30 pm
