Paralegal
Description
Paralegal
On-Site | Full-Time | Monday–Friday | $50,000/year | Fort Lauderdale, FL
About the Role You'll be an in-office paralegal on our immigration team, working side by side with our attorneys on investor visas (E-2 and EB-5), family-based petitions, and nonimmigrant visa applications. Your days are spent building petitions, collecting documents from clients, and making sure every filing leaves our office complete and on time.
You don't need an immigration background. If you've been a strong paralegal in litigation, family law, estate planning, corporate, or another practice area, we'll teach you the immigration side. What we can't teach is the foundation: running your own files, owning your deadlines, and getting it right the first time. This isn't an entry-level role, and it isn't a remote one. If that sounds like you, there's room to grow here as we do.
Relevant Backgrounds: Paralegal · Litigation Paralegal · Family Law Paralegal · Estate Planning Paralegal · Corporate Paralegal · Personal Injury Paralegal · Immigration Paralegal · Immigration Case Manager
What You'll Do
- Build immigration petitions and supporting evidence packages for attorney review
- Prepare, check, and mail paper petitions so every form, signature, and exhibit is in place
- Request and review documents from clients, and follow up until the file is complete
- Draft cover letters, client correspondence, affidavits, and government forms
- Track deadlines, receipt notices, and case status in our case management system
- Give clients clear, plain-language updates on where their case stands
- Manage your own caseload from document collection through filing
What We're Looking For Required
- 3+ years as a paralegal at a law firm, in any practice area, handling your own files from start to finish
- Associate's degree or paralegal certificate
- A sharp eye for detail. In immigration, one missing signature can get a filing rejected.
- Clear, professional writing and phone manner
- Able to work on-site in Fort Lauderdale, Monday through Friday
Preferred
- Immigration experience, especially investor visas or family-based petitions
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with case management software
- Bilingual
Compensation $50,000 per year, plus health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off, and paid sick days.
