If you're looking for flexible, PRN-only work and a meaningful way to support patients in your community, Haxtun Health Ambulance might be the perfect fit. Unlike a typical 9-to-5 position, this role does not have regularly scheduled shifts. Instead, our dedicated responders provide coverage on an as-needed basis.

Here's how it works:
- Weekday coverage is handled by the first available responders who can answer the call.
- Weekend coverage is provided by two on-call responders from Saturday at 6:00 a.m. to Monday at 6:00 a.m. During this time, you'll receive on-call hourly pay.
- In addition to on-call pay, you'll also earn commission based on a per-trip basis for every call you take.
As a Paramedic, you'll be responsible for providing immediate, high-quality care to critically ill and injured patients. This includes responding to both emergency calls and inter-facility transfers, all while following the guidelines set by the Haxtun Ambulance EMS Protocols and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current valid Driver’s License
- Must possess and maintain current Colorado EMS certification (Paramedic).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Ability to obtain ICS 100 & 700 for NIMS compliance
