Paramedic (x2)

JOB SUMMARY

Paramedic functions as an essential member of the emergency department team, supporting the delivery of care through advanced pre-hospital skills adapted to the hospital setting. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)/CCP and/or provider. Paramedic contributes to patient care by participating in the nursing process within their legal scope of practice. The Paramedic enhances team efficiency by performing clinical tasks, providing interventions, and contributing to the care and stabilization of emergent and non-emergent patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma.

Licensure: Certification as an EMT-P, completion of examination by the State of Iowa.

Certifications: BLS, ACLS and PALS required. NRP within the first year.

Experience: Previous experience helpful but not required.
