About this Job
- The Office of State Parks (OSP) serves the citizens of Louisiana and visitors by preserving and interpreting natural areas of unique or exceptional scenic value, planning, developing and operating sites that provide outdoor recreation opportunities in natural surroundings, preserving and interpreting historical and scientific sites of statewide importance and administering intergovernmental programs related to outdoor recreation and trails.
The purpose of this position is to complete various physical, custodial, and/or maintenance tasks to include cleaning, removing litter and trash, cleaning various buildings, operating equipment, and assisting with the public.
Minimum Qualifications
No experience or training required.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Performs custodial duties necessary to maintain clean and sanitary conditions of the park.
Clean site's grounds - collect litter, debris, and trash.
Mowing with zero turn mowers.
Blowing sidewalks and walkways with hand held and backpack blowers.
- Provides a high level of customer service.
Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools: high pressure washers, vacuums, brooms, and mops for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, furniture, etc.
Assists other personnel in the completion of their work for the purpose of support and to supplement in times of staff shortage.
Assists in collection of appropriate fees from site visitors.
Position-Specific Details:
Location: North Toledo Bend State Park, Zwolle, LAAppointment Type: This position will be filled as a part-time Classified WAE, limited to 1,245 working hours in a 12 month period.**Starting Hourly Pay varies, depending on experience.**
