Pay: $16-$18 per hour, based on experience

The Learning Experience - Manassas City is seeking an experienced Part-Time Afternoon Teacher to help keep our classrooms engaging, organized, and running smoothly throughout the second half of the day.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants consistent weekday afternoon hours in an early childhood education environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support classrooms and teachers throughout the afternoon
- Engage children through art, stories, music, movement, play, and hands-on activities
- Assist with meals, snacks, rest time, transitions, and afternoon routines
- Use positive guidance and age-appropriate classroom management
- Help maintain required classroom ratios
- Build positive relationships with children and families
- Support classroom organization and end-of-day procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
- Follow Virginia licensing and center requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous professional childcare experience required
- Experience in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood classroom strongly preferred
- Comfortable working with different age groups as needed
- Reliable and able to work the preferred Monday-Friday afternoon schedule
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must meet Virginia licensing requirements for the position
