Part-Time Announcer

PART-TIME ANNOUNCER

Are you an experienced broadcaster or have you ever dreamed of being behind the microphone? Midwest Communications, Inc. in Lansing, Michigan has a part-time opening that may be perfect for you. This role includes regular air shifts, working live events, opportunities to learn new skills in audio/video production, and digital content creation. You'll enjoy a supportive team, and the energy and excitement of creating entertaining content in Michigan's Capital City!

**This is an in-person role. Voice tracking is not an option**

Responsibilities

· Host or assist with live radio broadcasts

· Prepare for on-air shows with research and content

· Record commercials, promos, and station announcements

· Engage listeners with energy, personality, and professionalism

· Assist with station events and promotions as needed

· Learn the day-to-day operations of a successful radio station

Qualifications

• Strong, clear, and engaging voice with excellent articulation and pronunciation.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both on and off-air.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weeknights and weekends.

• Familiarity with broadcast equipment and audio production is a plus.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in broadcasting, journalism, or communications preferred.

• A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required for this position.
