Part-time Chinese and Maths Teacher (Fri & Sat)

Job Summary

Teach Chinese and Maths to primary and secondary students, managing small groups and delivering tailored lesson plans and progress reports. Engage with parents and commit to weekend working hours through December 2027.

Responsibilities

• Deliver effective Chinese language instruction to primary students to enhance their language proficiency and academic performance
• Teach Mathematics to primary and secondary students, applying appropriate methods to improve understanding and problem-solving skills
• Manage and tutor groups of approximately 8 students, fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment
• Develop detailed lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives to guide instructional delivery
• Prepare and maintain student progress reports to track learning outcomes and inform instructional adjustments
• Respond promptly and professionally to parent inquiries to support student development and maintain strong communication
• Commit to working on Fridays from 3:30 pm to 9:30 pm and Saturdays from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm until the end of December 2027

Required competencies and certifications

• Ability to teach both Chinese and Mathematics to primary and secondary students (essential for core duties)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Commitment to a one-year teaching engagement (preferred to ensure continuity and effectiveness)

Other Information

• Working Hours: Fridays 3:30 pm to 9:30 pm, Saturdays 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
• Contract Duration: Commitment required until end of December 2027
