Position Description
N & M Transfer is searching for a Part-time Customer Service Representative/Dispatcher to work at our terminal in Niles, MI. Monday - Friday: 2:30pm – 7:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Take calls from customers and enter pick-up orders
- Trace shipments and verify deliveries
- Communicate with customers
- Dispatch and assist drivers in the region
- Maintain cost-effective use of our equipment
- Complete daily reports as required
- Update and communicate freight consolidation
Qualifications include:
- Previous dispatching and/or customer service experience
- Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Data entry experience and problem-solving abilities
- Previous office experience or knowledge of the transportation industry is helpful, but not required.
