Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Part-Time, Sunday-Monday
Location: Dumfries, VA 22026 (Residential Group Home)
Position Type: Part-Time – 16 Hours per Week
Schedule: Sunday-Monday 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Pay Rate: $18.70 per hour

The Arc of Greater Prince William/INSIGHT, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our residential team in Manassas, VA.

Key Responsibilities
Provide person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential group home.
Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, meals, and other personal care needs.
Support individuals in developing and maintaining independence and daily living skills.
Assist with medication administration as authorized and trained.
Implement individualized service plans and behavioral support strategies as applicable.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and supports provided.
Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive home environment.
Assist with household activities, meal preparation, and community engagement as needed.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other members of the support team.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
Compassionate, dependable, patient, and committed to person-centered care.
Ability to provide hands-on personal care and follow individualized support plans.
Ability to complete required training and certifications.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record if driving is required for the position.
Ability to meet applicable background screening and employment requirements.

We want to hear from you if you have:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges, or transferrable skills that relate to serving this population (such as experience in education, caregiving, health care, other human services or customer service);
- Ability to pass criminal background check
- Ability to pass required trainings
- A Valid driver’s license, minimum three-year acceptable driving record and reliable transportation;
- A High school diploma or GED;
- Flexibility, positive attitude,
Working Conditions
- Work in residential group homes, day programs, and in the community
- Transport individuals using agency provided van
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
Part-Time Schedule 16 hours/week: Sunday-Monday 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM at group home located in Dumfries, VA 22026.
