Scaler is looking for experienced Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) who can share their industry expertise and help working professionals develop practical engineering and problem-solving skills.
We are looking for practitioners who have worked on real-world technical problems, translated business requirements into engineering solutions, and built or debugged software in production environments. The ideal candidate can explain their approach clearly and help learners understand how engineering concepts apply to practical business problems.
What you will do
- Conduct live technical sessions for working professionals.
- Share practical insights from your experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer.
- Teach structured problem-solving, design thinking and solution design.
- Help learners understand requirement gathering and translating ambiguous requirements into technical solutions.
- Explain coding practices, debugging and root-cause analysis.
- Cover database concepts and PostgreSQL through practical examples.
- Guide learners on code structure, modularity, maintainability and code quality.
- Resolve learner doubts and connect theoretical concepts with real-world engineering scenarios.
What we are looking for
- 4+ years of professional experience, including at least 2 years of hands-on AI/ML or machine learning-related work.
- Strong understanding of ML fundamentals, model evaluation, neural networks and relevant practical applications.
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a structured, simple and engaging manner.
- Availability to teach live sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9 PM–12 AM IST.
- Willingness to commit consistently for approximately 4–5 months.
Time commitment and compensation
- Remote, part-time engagement.
- Approximately 8–10 hours per week.
- Fixed live-session schedule on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings.
- Compensation of up to ₹16,000 per class, subject to the applicable compensation structure and eligibility.
Candidates will be evaluated on problem-solving and design thinking, coding skills, database and PostgreSQL knowledge, requirement gathering, debugging, communication, code structure, modularity and code quality.
