Part-time Infusion RN

Job duties for this position include the following:

  • Responsible for assessing the patient's health as well as detect changes in symptoms, health or pain, and will need to know when action is necessary.
  • Responsible for providing clinical infusion services.
  • Responsible for obtaining vital signs and assessing health of patient prior to administration of biologic medication.
  • Responsible for insertions and discontinuations of peripheral intravenous catheter.
  • Responsible for mixing/monitoring of medications, administering premeds and administering medications in response to changes in patient’s condition.
  • Responsible for making follow up appointments, answering telephone.
  • Ensures accurate and timely documentation per company Policy and Procedures.
  • Manages cleaning equipment between patients.
  • Responsible for reviewing diagnostic as well as laboratory data and report abnormal results to treating physician and/or other healthcare provider.
  • Documents assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record in a accurate timely fashion.
  • Assists with drug inventory management-daily inventory, ordering, monitoring of refrigerator temperatures.
  • Assists with maintaining unit equipment, safety checks, cleaning and promptly reporting any issues.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

The qualifications for this role include the following:

  • Minimum Associates Degree. Bachelors preferred.
  • Active - State Nursing License.
  • 2 years’ experience working in a healthcare facility.
  • 1 years’ experience working with medical payers including Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance.
  • 1 years’ experience inserting IV’s.
  • Working knowledge of electronic medical record systems.
  • Working knowledge of CPT & ICD-10 coding practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
