Part-time Infusion RN

Job duties for this position include the following:
- Responsible for assessing the patient's health as well as detect changes in symptoms, health or pain, and will need to know when action is necessary.
- Responsible for providing clinical infusion services.
- Responsible for obtaining vital signs and assessing health of patient prior to administration of biologic medication.
- Responsible for insertions and discontinuations of peripheral intravenous catheter.
- Responsible for mixing/monitoring of medications, administering premeds and administering medications in response to changes in patient’s condition.
- Responsible for making follow up appointments, answering telephone.
- Ensures accurate and timely documentation per company Policy and Procedures.
- Manages cleaning equipment between patients.
- Responsible for reviewing diagnostic as well as laboratory data and report abnormal results to treating physician and/or other healthcare provider.
- Documents assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record in a accurate timely fashion.
- Assists with drug inventory management-daily inventory, ordering, monitoring of refrigerator temperatures.
- Assists with maintaining unit equipment, safety checks, cleaning and promptly reporting any issues.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
The qualifications for this role include the following:
- Minimum Associates Degree. Bachelors preferred.
- Active - State Nursing License.
- 2 years’ experience working in a healthcare facility.
- 1 years’ experience working with medical payers including Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance.
- 1 years’ experience inserting IV’s.
- Working knowledge of electronic medical record systems.
- Working knowledge of CPT & ICD-10 coding practices.
- Excellent organizational skills.
