Part Time IT Support Specialist
Headwaters School, a Pre-K through grade 12 independent day school serving over 500 students across its three campuses in Austin, TX, is seeking a part time IT Support Specialist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This position will be 20 hours per week and is an immediate start date.

The IT Support Specialist reports directly to our Director of Technology. Our ideal candidate will be available to start immediately. Hourly rate: $25.00
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide Mac and PC tech support for administration, faculty, staff, students, and parents across 3 campuses
- Troubleshoot problems relating to hardware and software, including projectors, printers, phones, and electronic door locks
- Provision accounts for new users/terminated users as well as password administration
- Assist in ensuring data integrity across all systems and databases
- Assist in the integration of technology across the K-12 curriculum
- Assist in maintaining the school's IT inventory, database, and website
- Make recommendations on ways for our school to remain technologically current
- Enforce company IT standards and IT policies
Job Qualifications
- Professional experience in Helpdesk or IT-related support
- BA/BS Degree
- A passion for helping others
- Be very detail-oriented
- Friendly disposition and excellent customer service skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Google Suite, preferred
- Experience with Mac OS, preferred
- Willingness and ability to travel to multiple campuses as needed
- Ability to identify the root cause of issues, develop solutions, and recommend appropriate actions
This is a part time, 20 hours per week, 12-month, hourly, non-exempt position.
