Summary
Part-time kitchen assistant prepares and portions Japanese ramen ingredients, plates dishes, and maintains kitchen hygiene during lunch service in Singapore.
Working Location: The Galen, 61 Science Park Rd Singapore 117525
Working Arrangement: Monday to Friday (11am-3pm）
Job Summary
We seek hardworking, reliable part-time kitchen assistants to support lunch service at a Japanese ramen restaurant in The Galen, Science Park.
Responsibilities
- Prepare seasonings and toppings such as spring onions, bamboo shoots, soft-boiled eggs, nori, corn, and chashu to support lunch preparation
- Portion ingredients and plate dishes following restaurant presentation standards
- Prepare simple side dishes including gyoza, karaage chicken, and mini chashu rice
- Accurately pack takeaway and delivery orders with all food items, cutlery, and sauces
- Restock the self-service condiment station regularly with pickled ginger, takana, sesame seeds, pepper, shichimi, soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil
- Collaborate with teammates to wash and sanitize all kitchen tableware
- Sort and neatly stack cleaned tableware on designated storage racks
- Clear dirty pots and plates promptly during lunch peak hours to maintain kitchen flow
- Complete full kitchen cleaning duties after service ends to ensure hygiene standards
Required competencies and certifications
- Food Safety Course Level 1 certificate (preferred)
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in F&B, kitchen, ramen shop, or fast food environments
- Ability to understand basic work instructions in English or Mandarin
- Ability to stand continuously for around 4 hours
- Strong awareness of food hygiene
- Punctuality, dependability, and responsibility to commit to regular fixed shifts
