Part-time Lab Assistant

Education Requirement: Associate degree (at minimum). Candidates with at least, a
high school diploma but have at least three years of working in a clinical laboratory are
encouraged to apply. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: One to two years of experience working in a clinical laboratory preferred.
One year of technical experience preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
 Receive, log, and prepare patient specimens for analysis, ensuring proper
labeling and handling.
 Accurately enter test data and patient information into laboratory information
systems and maintain organized records of all procedures.
 Set up, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on laboratory instruments
and equipment to ensure they function correctly.
 Record Temperature and Humidity.
 Prepare chemical solutions and reagents according to established laboratory
formulas and procedures.
 Monitor and manage inventory of Laboratory supplies.
 Clean and sterilize laboratory glassware, surfaces, and equipment to maintain a
safe and uncontaminated work environment.
 Dispose of biohazardous waste and chemicals in accordance with strict safety
regulations and protocols.
 Assist technologists with basic testing procedures and the setup of complex
experiments.
 Assist with FedEx shipment of supplies.
