Part-Time Lecturer in Chinese Linguistics (SOH)

The School of Humanities at NTU invites applications for part-time teaching of courses in the Department of Chinese in the field of Linguistics (and/or any sub-disciplines in Linguistics and Languages, including but not limited to Chinese Pragmatics, Discourse Analysis, Language Typology, Language Acquisition, Sociolinguistics etc.). For each course, the instructor will be responsible for leading classes as well as planning the syllabus, class preparation, devising and marking assignments, and handling student consultations. The course is to be taught in Chinese.

Candidates should have an advanced degree and a proven track-record in teaching. That is, candidates will only be considered if they have the following:

  • Master’s degree or higher
  • Teaching experience at a tertiary level

Applications should include the following:

  • CV
  • Evidence of teaching excellence if any (e.g., teaching evaluations or reference letters)
