Center for Skin Wellness | Sarasota, FL
Center for Skin Wellness, an established medical and cosmetic dermatology practice, is seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Part-Time Medical Receptionist to join our team. We are looking for a friendly, organized individual who enjoys working with patients and thrives in a professional, fast-paced medical office environment.
Position & Schedule
- Part-time position working 2–3 days per week.
- Office hours:
- Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM–5:00 PM
- Friday: 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year of medical administrative experience required.
- Professional appearance and a patient-focused attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of HMO, PPO, POS, and Medicare Advantage insurance plans.
- Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients, family members, and medical sales representatives in a courteous and professional manner.
- Obtain, verify, and scan patient photo IDs and insurance cards, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
- Verify that required insurance authorizations and referrals are on file.
- Assist patients with accessing and completing information through the patient portal.
- Review practice policies with all new patients and obtain necessary signatures.
- Schedule and reschedule appointments as needed.
- Request medical records from other healthcare providers.
- Provide excellent customer service and professional telephone support.
- Collect patient payments and process transactions accurately.
- Maintain accurate patient information and support the efficient daily operation of the front desk.
Employment Requirements
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is required.
