A family in Falls Church, VA 22042 is seeking an experienced and compassionate nanny who has experience in child-led care for a 1 year old. The right candidate must be genuinely comfortable following Mom’s lead rather than applying conventional nanny methods.
Schedule:
- 5 days per week (Monday-Friday) from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- 15-20 hours per week guaranteed
Family Specifications:
- Smoke-free home
- 1 large 90lb dog
- Parents value open communication and building a long-term relationship with the right caregiver
- Child-Led & Low-Stimulation activities with child independence
- Child is breast-fed
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive child-led care
- Support developmental activities appropriate for the child’s age and needs but allow for child independence
- Light housekeeping (laundry, bottles/dishes, tidying play areas, light organization)
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment
- Help with quick errands such as grocery shopping
Requirements:
- Experience caring for infants/toddlers
- Experience with child-led care
- Comfortable working in a home with a large dog
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred:
- CPR and First Aid certified
Compensation:
- $25–$28 per hour (commensurate with experience)
