Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Inventory & Warehouse Support

  • Assist in receiving, unpacking, inspecting, and organizing incoming shipments.
  • Pull, prepare, stage, and load equipment and materials for field crews as directed.
  • Perform routine inventory counts and report discrepancies or shortages.
  • Maintain organized storage areas for traffic control devices, signs, PPE, tools, and other equipment.
  • Assist with assembling products and equipment, including signs, sign stands, barricades, and related traffic control hardware.
  • Ensure warehouse inventory is stored safely and efficiently.

Operational Support

  • Load and unload traffic control equipment, materials, and supplies for delivery vehicles and field crews.
  • Deliver equipment, supplies, and materials to jobsites, offices, or storage locations as needed.
  • Support equipment upkeep by cleaning, inspecting, repairing, or replacing damaged items under the direction of warehouse leadership.
  • Assist with vehicle and equipment readiness activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and shop environment.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Conduct basic inspections and safety checks of equipment prior to deployment.
  • Use proper lifting techniques and material handling practices.
  • Operate company vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
  • Promptly report safety concerns, accidents, equipment damage, or maintenance issues.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Work closely with the Inventory Supervisor to ensure equipment availability and operational readiness.
  • Communicate inventory shortages, damaged equipment, and maintenance needs promptly.
  • Support warehouse coworkers and field personnel in locating, preparing, and loading required equipment.
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude while assisting with various operational needs.

Qualifications

Required

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and attention to detail.

Preferred

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, delivery, construction, traffic control, shop, or inventory environment.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools and equipment assembly.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular physical activity and the ability to:

  • Continuously stand and walk throughout the shift, including on uneven surfaces.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, reach, twist, and perform repetitive hand and wrist motions.
  • Continuously grasp and handle tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Frequently push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally kneel, climb, and work from varying heights.
  • Rarely crawl in confined spaces.

Work Environment

  • Warehouse, shop, and outdoor jobsite environments.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, traffic control equipment, and construction-related activities.
  • Fast-paced operational environment requiring coordination with warehouse staff, field teams, and supervisors.
  • Evening, night, weekend, holiday, and on-call work may be required based on business needs.
  • Part time, $21.30 to $23/hour based on experience
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays.
