Job Description for UMS Driver
A Driver at UMS is an entry level position that requires no previous professional experience, but does require one to have held a valid driver’s license for at least three years. Successful Drivers at UMS are dedicated individuals who show up for work every day on time and thrive on working independently. UMS Drivers are responsible for the safe transport of the mail inside of the vehicle they are assigned to. UMS driving personnel reports directly to their Route Department Supervisor/Manager or Shift Production managers.
Job Qualifications for UMS Driver:
- Valid Wisconsin Drivers License and maintain a good Motor Vehicle Record (see Driver Safety Policies)
- Ability to lift 20-25 lb containers repetitively
- Ability to drive safely and confidently in all weather conditions
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to multitask
Hours are 12:00pm - 5:00pm
