Part-Time / Temporary Event Porter

NOTE: Part-Time / Temporary Event Porters work seasonal and on-demand events throughout the St. Louis Metropolitan area. Event Porters may be tasked with cleaning floors, carpets, bathrooms, windows, common public areas at large facilities or venues at local St. Louis events inside and outside. This job is well suited to people who can work competently under minimal supervision, who have the strength and stamina to lift at least 50 lbs. and can spend long hours on their feet, and who can follow instructions clearly and work to a set schedule. Reports to: Event Supervisor

Typical duties:

1. Perform cleaning/maintenance of floors, common public areas, bathrooms, windows.
2. Complete work assignments in a timely manner.
3. Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
4. Use and maintain equipment properly.
5. Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely
6. Observe safety precautions at all times, uses safety signs “wet floor”
7. Ability to work with minimal supervision
8. Reports safety hazards as appropriate
9. Perform other duties as assigned
