Part-Time Veterinary Assistant

Are you an experienced Veterinary Assistant looking to join a supportive, collaborative team? VCA Peninsula Animal Hospital is seeking a dependable and compassionate part-time Veterinary Assistant to join our close-knit team!

Our hospital prides itself on teamwork, communication, and supporting one another to provide exceptional patient care. With multiple doctors scheduled on both shifts, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative medical team in a busy, team-oriented environment. Pay range is $20.00-$22.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Mondays: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturdays: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary assistant experience is required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassionate toward patients and their owners.
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and support the medical team.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors and technicians with patient care and treatments.
• Safely and compassionately handle and restrain patients.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Monitor patients and assist with daily hospital operations.
• Communicate effectively with the medical team to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment.
