Pay Range for this position is: $20-24/hr




POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Assistant reports to the Associate Manager, Warehouse Logistics and is based out of our Cherry Hill, New Jersey location. This position is responsible for assisting all samples sent to customers for approval. This position requires good organization skills and must be able to take direction. This position requires travel with Warehouse Sample Coordinator to and from the Seabrook NJ plant as well as involves heavy lifting up to 50lbs.



Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in boxing and shipping all sample request submissions on a daily basis, verifies data, and receives priorities from supervisor
  • Assist with organizational activities in the warehouse including assembling shelves, accurate labeling of samples, preparing pallets for shipment, and other daily housekeeping requirements.
  • Assist with R&D sample requests regarding, lab samples and/or new product requests to allow for proper allocation of resources necessary for timely completion and delivery.
  • Assist in all outbound Fedex shipments
  • Work with supervisor to learn and determine best shipping methods to meet arrival date of the request at least cost
  • Receive direction from the Associate Manager, Warehouse Logistics on daily activities to ensure the accuracy of order fulfillment, stock replenishment from local warehouse sites, and general cleanliness of work area
  • Responsible for periodic department maintenance and cleaning
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting; and occasionally working in the field.

FREQUENT: sitting, upward and downward flexion of neck; fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure to include extended periods of keyboard and mouse use, side-to-side turning of neck, walking, standing, bending and stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting at waist, moderate wrist torque to twist equipment knobs and dials.

OCCASIONAL: squatting, kneeling, reach above and at shoulder height, moderate grasp to manipulate reference books and manuals; lifting objects weighing 20 – 35 lbs. from below waist to above shoulders and transporting distances up to 50 feet.

VISION: Ability to see in the normal visual range with or without correction.

HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
