Position: Partnership Manager for Arts, Entertainment. & Design

The Partnership Manager supports Study Smart’s efforts in growing its arts, entertainment, and design and career and technical education curriculum product line within school districts, educational institutes, state departments, and universities. The position will be responsible for direct outreach to new clients, and attending virtual and in-person events and conferences.

The Partnership Manager for Arts, Media & Entertainment is a fully remote position in CA and will report directly to the Director of Arts, Entertainment, & Design. Site visits and in-person meetings throughout the state will be expected on a weekly basis

Job Responsibilities


Business Development (90%)

  • Develop lists of schools and districts in target markets within California
  • Outreach to school directors or similar decision makers to create pathways for new sales
  • Develop strategic partnerships with CTE directors and other decision makers to drive “retail” sales
  • Partner with Inspire EDU in an effort to grow our Arts, Entertainment, & Design program offerings
  • Create a professional and engaging first impression with our prospects and customers
  • Accurately enter, update, and maintain prospect information in Salesforce
  • Generate new business through outbound prospecting
  • Provide client support before/during/after implementation
  • Conduct discovery calls to identify customer requirements and expectations in order to make tailored product recommendations
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities with leads and outbound sales development activities
  • Visit schools and school districts in territory on a weekly basis to drive sales
  • Attend local, virtual, and national conferences and events
  • When feasible, travel when needed to attend conferences and events, planning meetings, renewal conversations, and support student/staff/family programming.

Day to day tasks Include

  • Pre-call research and planning
  • Cold and warm calling
  • Follow-up with previous contacts
  • Maintaining and renewing previous customers
  • Utilizing Salesforce
  • Work closely with sales and marketing team to develop strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities for new business

Other Duties (10%)

  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
  • The Partnership Manager will use email and phone communication to establish and build relationships with potential partners.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales or business development within the education sector preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Experience or established contacts with California school districts
  • A driven professional with a consultative, strategic advisory approach and strong rapport-building skills.
  • Creative, adaptive thinker able to meet client needs in real time
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Project Management Software
  • Ability to travel across California weekly or as needed for client visits
  • Comfortable executing tasks independently with minimal supervision
  • Background in Arts, Entertainment, & Design
  • Experience as an educator preferred but not required

Salary and Benefits

  • Full-time + benefits
  • Flexible to work in hybrid
  • Salary ranging from $70,400 - $78,000, with uncapped commission and a target total compensation of $120,000. | No Commission Cap – Earn up to $300,000+!
