Partnership Manager
Description
Our client is the leading global Importer of Record and compliance specialist for the medical and pharmaceutical industry — operating across 200+ destinations and trusted by some of the biggest names in global pharma.
This isn't a typical BD role. It's a front-row seat to how a world-class international business is built and run.
The Role
You'll work directly with the MD and Director of Partnerships — sitting in on boardroom-level strategy one day, closing deals with global pharmaceutical giants the next.
This is a hybrid role blending business development, strategic operations, and executive exposure. If you're a high-performing CA, attorney, or similarly qualified professional who wants to build a client portfolio and learn how to scale a global business from the inside — this was written for you.
What You'll Be Doing
Strategic & Operational Exposure
- Work directly with the MD on growth initiatives and market analysis
- Contribute to business-critical decisions across commercial, operational, and financial domains
- Develop frameworks for scaling international operations, pricing strategies, and process optimisation
- Support data analysis, reporting, and execution of new business strategies
Business Development & Client Growth
- Identify and develop new opportunities in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and clinical trial sectors
- Target key decision-makers in US and European markets
- Convert opportunities into signed commercial agreements
- Manage client relationships end-to-end — from proposal through to post-sales coordination
Global Exposure
- Engage international clients via Zoom, Teams, and in-person
- Travel to target regions to build relationships and close deals
Requirements
- CA, BCom LLB, Engineering, Actuarial Science, or MBA (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience
- Proven track record in sales, consulting, or business development
- Entrepreneurial mindset — self-starter, high-energy, commercially sharp
- Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving ability
- Excellent communicator with solid interpersonal skills
- Experience managing or mentoring teams is advantageous
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel and data analysis tools a bonus
- Strong academic record (matric certificate and university transcripts required)
Why This Role?
✔ Accelerated learning in international trade, business strategy, and medical logistics
✔ Career progression opportunities within a large, established group
✔ International exposure — with potential relocation opportunities
