Partnerships and Alliance Manager
Posted Updated
Description
The core responsibilities for the job include the following:
Extend the network: listings and product partnerships:
- Own the partner map across all three streams: who to pursue, in what order, and why. Build the business case for each one: integration fit, joint value, and revenue potential.
- Prospect for partners the way an AE prospects for customers. Many of the partners we need don't know they need us yet.
- Get listed on partner marketplaces (ServiceNow Store, SAP Store, Oracle Cloud Marketplace, Microsoft Marketplace, AWS Marketplace, and vertical marketplaces). Own program requirements, listings, security reviews, certifications, and renewals end to end.
- Build product partnerships where there's no marketplace to list on: agree on the joint integration (typically through the MCP Gateway), get it built with Product and Solutions Engineering, and package it so both sales teams can sell it.
- Negotiate partner agreements: program tiers, revenue share, resale and referral terms, and co-marketing commitments.
Turn it into revenue:
- Build relationships at every level of a partner: alliance managers, product and engineering teams, field sellers, and executives.
- Enable partner sellers to position and recommend Synqed, so they bring us deals rather than just take our calls. Turn one-off wins into repeatable joint solution plays that partner sellers can run without us.
- Own the partner numbers (sourced and influenced pipeline, bookings, and marketplace revenue), report them in HubSpot, and forecast them accurately.
Requirements:
- You've built partnerships, not inherited them. 5-8 years in technology partnerships or ISV alliances, with partnerships you sourced, structured, and grew. You're comfortable prospecting for partners, not just managing them.
- Ecosystem depth. You know at least one of the three streams (CCaaS, enterprise platforms, or conversational AI) well enough that a partner takes you seriously in the first meeting, and you can learn the other two fast. You bring a live network in that stream: people you can call in week one to get the first partnerships moving.
- Marketplace and co-sell mechanics. You've launched listings and run co-sell programs, and you know how a platform partner actually gets paid.
- You turn integrations into revenue. You've taken a technical integration or marketplace listing and made it a measurable commercial channel, and you've carried partner pipeline or revenue targets with results to show.
- A builder who gets things done. You do your best work from a blank page: you figure it out, try things fast, and get them done without waiting to be told. No task is above or below you.
- Global experience. You've worked with partners and teams across regions and time zones, including the US.
- Location. Based in, or willing to relocate to, Bangalore, with working hours that overlap US Central Time.
Even Better:
- Technically credible. Enough technical understanding of the CX or AI space to assess integration fit and speak credibly with a partner's product and engineering teams. You could demo the MCP Gateway or Headless Connectors yourself.
- Early-stage or hypergrowth experience: an early hire at a startup or part of a scale-up through its hypergrowth phase, ideally at an AI or enterprise SaaS company.
- AI-native. AI is how you work, not something you've read about. You build your own tools (partner trackers, enablement material) with AI assistants, agents, and no-code tools rather than waiting for someone else to build them.
- Cloud Marketplace. Cloud marketplace co-sell experience, especially with AWS.
