VVG is looking for a Parts Manager to join our team in Chandler, AZ for following hours: Monday-Friday between 7:00am-5:00pm!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PURPOSE
The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the parts department and running a profitable and efficient parts department. Parts Manager accomplishes objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, security, pricing merchandising, displaying and advertising. The Parts Manager must be an investment advisor and profit producer and is responsible for supervision of around 47 employees.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or the equivalent
Fifteen (15) or more years of experience in parts department of trucking industry
Supervisory experience
Excellent customer service skills
Strong communication skills
Sales experience preferred
Managerial skills experience
Must exhibit leadership qualities
Must exhibit teamwork qualities
Shows Initiative
Strong verbal and writing skills
Computer proficiency and accounting skills
Professional personal appearance
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Determines vehicle condition under supervision by conducting preventive maintenance Inspections, oil changes, chassis lubrication while identifying worn and damaged parts, installing component and part upgrades on light, medium, and heavy-duty tractors and other equipment.
Performs inspections under supervision at customers location with a service truck which could include inclement weather at times. Maintains the service truck to standard including cleanliness and resupply.
Performs service calls dispatching to provide diagnosis and repairs related to vehicle breakdowns.
Corrects vehicle deficiencies identified by repairing, replacing, adjusting, disassembling and assembling, components in all major equipment system areas.
Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
Performs tire replacements, rotations, mounting and dismounting on and off of vehicles as needed.
Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.
Compensation:
$80,000-$90,000 annual salary
Bonus Incentive Plan

Must be able to pass post offer drug test, physical and background check
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
Primarily office and warehouse environment
Includes time at the front counter interacting with customers
Medium work: ability to lift and move parts as needed
