As a Warehouse Operative you will be a key member of our Parts Department team and work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a first class service within our warehouse.

Our Parts Department prides itself on our consistent outstanding level of customer experience throughout the parts order process. Professional call handling and front counter customer service, efficient goods inwards and back counter parts supply to our workshop department, speedy despatch and delivery on time every time is a must.

This role may grow and evolve over time and whilst the key responsibilities for the role are outlined below they are not limited to same.

· Receiving in and checking goods from suppliers and putting stock away to correct area/location/bin – attention to detail is key

· Picking and packing orders for despatch in a timely and efficient manner - daily time deadlines must be met

· Updating computerised system to ensure stock accuracy

· Utilising distribution partners systems to ensure correct shipments to correct customers

· Ensuring the cleanliness and proper stocking of inventory in the work area

· Full use of and maintaining of the warehouse equipment (forklifts, pickers, vans etc)

· Conducting cycle counts of inventory

· Coordinating workflow and tasks with other team members

Person specifications

· This role will suit candidates with a knowledge/interest in the truck, bus, trailer or vans parts sector.

· Positive attitude towards work tasks and ability to get along and work well with colleagues.

· Agile – adaptable and flexible in a dynamic environment key to ensure success of Harris Group Parts Department.

· Strong sense of care for our customers, ensuring they receive the best experience from the Parts Department.

· Results driven with the ability to meet deadlines

Essential Skills and Experience

· Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team

· Excellent communication and organisational skills

· Focused individual with the ability to work accurately and efficiently with high levels of attention to detail

· Flexible approach to work tasks

· Computer literate with the ability to adapt to new systems

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

· Experience in a similar role preferable

· Interest in parts and motor industry required

· Current Forklift licence an advantage

· Having manual handling/health and safety courses completed is beneficial

· Full clean driving licence favourable

· Understanding of current parts supply chain processes advantageous
