Patient Care Tech ER

• Location: Carmel, IN
• Facility: Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center
• Department/Specialty: Cardiac Services | Emergency Department
• Schedule: Full Time Night | Three 12 hour shifts | Work every 3rd weekend rotation

• Aids with movement and placement of patients.
• Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Documents necessary records.
• Keeps patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintains medical equipment.

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Preferred Credential(s):
  • Nurse Aide.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences:

• Prefer previous emergency room or cardiac experience.
