Patient Care Tech

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for assisting the Registered Nurse within the realm of their education with respect to any changes with the patient. THe primary job duties of the position are monitoring vital signs, providing patient care and feeding assistance, and ensuring patient safety.

The ability to manage multiple projects/tasks, provide close attention to detail, adapt to a constantly changing work environment, work a predictable schedule, meet frequent deadlines, work under close supervision, establish own goals, work closely with others, maintain much record-keeping/routine paperwork and utilize creativity. The ability to constantly stand, walk, lift approximately 65 pounds, push/pull approximately 200 pounds, pull hand over hand, stoop, kneel, repeatedly bend, reach, withstand repetitive twisting or pressure involving wrists or hands, use both hands, use rapid mental/muscular coordination simultaneously, communicate orally, and hear conversation is also typically required. The ability to frequently lift between 25 and 40 pounds, carry approximately 25 pounds is also typically required. The ability to occasionally sit, lift approximately ten pounds is also typically required.
