Patient Care Technician

Location: Austin, Texas

Facility: Ascension Seton Hays

Department: Telemetry

Schedule: Full-Time | Day

• Aids with movement and placement of patients.
• Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Documents necessary records.
• Keeps patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintains medical equipment.

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following:
    • Patient Care credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Patient Care credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Patient Care specializing in Nutrition Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Infant Feeding Technician Certificate

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
