Facility: Ascension St. Vincent Orthopedic Hospital
Department: PACU Orthopedics
Schedule: Full Time | Day Shift
- Support post-surgical recovery by assisting patients with comfort measures, personal care, and safe transfers as they awaken from anesthesia.
- Monitor and report key vitals, promptly alerting PACU nurses to changes in patient alertness, comfort, or physical condition.
- Prepare rapid-turnaround bays, ensuring post-op stations are fully stocked, sanitized, and equipped with specialized recovery supplies.
- Facilitate smooth handoffs and discharges, helping transport recovering patients to inpatient units or escorting outpatients to their vehicles.
Licensure / Certification / Registration
- Required Credential(s):
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
