Patient Financial Navigator (80659)
Make a Difference in the Lives of Cancer Patients!
A cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming—not only emotionally and physically, but financially as well. The Patient Financial Navigator serves as a trusted advocate, helping patients understand their insurance coverage, navigate financial assistance programs, and overcome barriers that could delay or interrupt treatment.
As an integral member of our interdisciplinary Cancer Care & Research Center team, you'll work alongside dedicated professionals to ensure patients have timely access to the care they need. Every day, you'll help patients focus less on financial concerns and more on healing.
The Patient Financial Navigator:
- Guides patients through insurance benefits, treatment costs, and financial responsibilities.
- Verifies insurance coverage and identifies potential barriers before treatment begins.
- Connects patients with manufacturer copay assistance, free drug programs, foundation grants, premium assistance, and other financial resources.
- Prepares patient cost estimates and assists with payment plans, billing questions, and financial counseling.
- Helps uninsured or underinsured patients explore available coverage options and community resources.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to support timely access to treatment.
- Monitors financial assistance programs, submits reimbursement claims, and assists with grant renewals.
We're seeking someone who is compassionate, organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping patients navigate the financial aspects of cancer care. Successful candidates enjoy problem-solving, building relationships, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Hours/Shifts
80 hours biweekly, Day shifts, Monday through Friday.
Compensation
Hourly Wage Range: $20.31 - $34.11. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.
