Patient Safety and Quality Analyst
To support the hospital’s patient safety, quality improvement, risk management and accreditation programs through effective incident management, policy governance, quality improvement initiatives, and collaboration with clinical and support departments.
- Review, analyze, classify, and trend incident and adverse event reports, ensuring appropriate follow-up and closure.
- Coordinate Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and support implementation and monitoring of corrective and preventive actions.
- Identify opportunities for and facilitate Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs) based on incidents, risks, audits, indicators, and organizational priorities.
- Support risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring, including maintenance and follow-up of departmental risks.
- Coordinate the review and management of adverse events, near misses, and patient safety concerns.
- Review, develop, and revise policies, procedures, protocols, and related documents in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Support accreditation preparedness, particularly JCI readiness, including standards interpretation, gap assessments, tracers, audits, evidence preparation, and follow-up of identified gaps.
- Analyze patient safety and quality data, identify trends, and prepare reports and presentations for relevant committees and hospital leadership.
- Promote a culture of patient safety, continuous improvement, and regulatory/accreditation compliance across the organization.
Minimum: BSN, Pharm-D, MBBS, BDS, or equivalent recognized healthcare professional qualification.
Desirable: Master’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration/Management, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
Preference will be given to candidates holding:
CPHQ or a relevant American Board/Diplomate certification in healthcare quality or an equivalent recognized professional certification.
